IOL reports that on Saturday, a Johannesburg driver who offered members of the National Traffic Police (NTU) a R40 bribe to avoid an overloading fine was arrested, and on Friday (28 October), Johannesburg traffic police stopped a driver for not being in possession of a valid driving licence and arrested him after he offered them a R20 bribe.
