Call to exhibit at Wastex Africa 2013
Wastex Africa 2013 will be held from 29 to31 May, 2013, at the Gallagher Convention Centre, Joburg. All suppliers, stakeholders and industry players in the waste management and recycling, environmental protection and sustainability are invited to come and network, share experiences with and gain new insights from your industry peers from around the continent.
With several of Africa's economies growing at breathtaking pace, bringing about increasing rates of affluence and consumption and all this accompanied by rising urbanisation, Africa's waste is piling up. Some see it as a problem, but a growing number see it as a tremendous opportunity - to turn waste into wealth right across the continent.
The waste industry worldwide runs into billions of dollars annually. Africa's waste industry is also significant, and growing, opening up opportunities for the creation of new ventures and expansion of existing ones, for the entry and growth of small businesses, job creation and for the introduction of new innovations and waste management techniques.
Growing opportunity
Wastex Africa, the continent's first dedicated waste management and recycling, sustainability and environmental protection expo seeks to tap this growing opportunity. Modelled on similar events around the world, Wastex Africa will showcase the full extent of Africa's waste and green industry opportunity, enabling participants to do real business.
The Waste Indaba, Wastex Africa's conference component, will provide a platform for industry actors from the public and private sector to dialogue, network and launch new initiatives.
