Continental Outdoor Media helps Primrose community

As Nelson Mandela said, "It is said that no-one really knows a nation until one has been inside its jails. A nation should not be judged by how it treats its highest citizen, but it's lowest."
Continental Outdoor Media helps Primrose community

The Continental Outdoor Media sales team rallied together on Mandela Day to help a community in need. They served a hot chicken stew to 400 people from Primrose informal squatter camp and handed out clothes, sanitary towels, food packs and quality blankets to ward off the winter chill.

They were able to donate clothes, non-perishable foods, and linen, and they facilitated a charitable trade exchange with Sesli Textiles. The CEO, Mustafa Sesli, donated 435 blankets to the value of R50,000 for distribution to the community. The Continental Outdoor sales team drew on the superb culinary skills of Bernice from the office canteen. They served the delicious meal in collaboration with Feed a Family.

"The Continental Outdoor flag was flown high, as we touched the lives of a community in need. I believe we did not only go there just to serve them with food that they cannot afford, but our mission was to continue the Neslon Mandela legacy by just showing them love. We hope that one day they will not only be receivers, but they will also go out there and be a blessing to others," says Thembi Thabethe, account executive at Continental Outdoor Media.
