If Brands Had Voices, I’d Probably Be Their Speechwriter

For the past 15 years, I’ve been helping brands figure out what they want to say, how they should say it, and most importantly, how to make people actually listen.

From a pithy one-liner that does more work than a municipal tender committee, to full-blown digital campaigns, I’ve spent more than a decade turning ideas into words, strategies and digital experiences that stick.

My background spans Digital Strategy, Copywriting and Digital Management, which basically means I can sit in a room where everyone is throwing around big words like “synergy”, “tmesis” and “pulchritude” and still ask the important question: “But what are we actually trying to say?”

I’m particularly interested in the space where strategy meets storytelling because a brilliant strategy nobody understands is about as useful as a pothole repair programme that starts with a press conference and ends with the pothole getting a second address.

And with Local Government Elections approaching, I suppose that makes me uniquely qualified to write copy that promises “a better tomorrow” without accidentally sounding like another ward committee meeting.
