The programme is aimed at businesses that already have paying customers, generate revenue and can demonstrate demand for their products or services.

Who can apply?

Applicants must be South African citizens, majority shareholders and key decision-makers who work full-time in their businesses.

Their businesses must be at least 51% Black-owned and managed, operate in South Africa and have traded consistently for at least two years.

Applicants must also be able to demonstrate paying customers, recurring commercial revenue and evidence of repeat demand, as well as a viable business model and a credible opportunity to reach more customers or larger markets.

Entrepreneurs applying must be prepared to commit to the full 18-month programme and be willing to strengthen their leadership and make changes within the business.

What the programme offers

The programme provides tailored support and dedicated mentoring focused on strengthening leadership skills, business systems and financial capability.

Participants will also receive support in pursuing new market opportunities and preparing their businesses for sustainable growth.

Businesses do not need to have sophisticated systems or consistently rising revenue to qualify. The programme states that the key requirements are evidence that the business is commercially proven, that there is demand for its offering and that there is a credible opportunity for growth.

Priority consideration will be given to qualifying businesses owned by women, youth and persons with disabilities, as well as businesses based in or meaningfully serving rural and township communities.

Applications close at midday on 13 October 2026.

Entrepreneurs requiring assistance with their applications can contact az.oc.alotef@anaolohtnoitadnuofbas or call 079 879 8694.
