Know your shoppers inside out

The days are noticeably shorter; the air, clearly colder. With the obvious inclination to stay indoors during winter, the question arises: will shoppers flock to the malls, or will they shop from the comfort of their couches?

The GIBS Primedia Unlimited Retail Shoppertunities study offers some insights into what draws consumers into malls, how to get them into your store and keep them coming back. Geometry Global has also released its research into why consumers shop where they do - especially during financially strained times.

For the armchair shoppers, Bizcommunity's Cari van Wyk takes a look at desirable online shopping with Erato, and if you want to Shop for Good, check out this online pop-up shop with heart.

For those retailers covering both bases, or those that should and haven't yet, here are some essentials to e-tailing every retailer should know.
