Love them or loathe them, private label products are taking over supermarket shelves
This is a highly positive change for consumers to ensure everyone can afford daily basic necessities. The local brands need to make a huge change if they wish to continue becoming a supplier to supermarkets. They need to stop being too complacent and start tweaking their choice of target audiences.

Mixed bag of fortunes for the automotive industry
We all know just how much success the automotive industry is seeing today. However, there is still its down side that is rather inevitable and this applies to all other industries as well. Industry players can only do so much and they need the government's aide in order to ensure demand gets met without much issues and when demand is low, losses can somehow be curbed.

Prospects of pallet trucks market remain positive
I personally think that a lot of facilities are still using pallet trucks for the transportation of the various units of product on their premises. Until something more cost effective and efficient is found, this is probably going to remain the case.

AGT Foods expands in WC, aims to become top supplier of dry food goods
Where there is demand, there is bound to be supply. This calls for expansions of businesses which clearly show how rapid the progress of a certain industry is. We can see storage facilities being acquired or newly developed to support the increasing volume of inventories in order to fulfill demand orders.

Murray & Roberts secures R3.8bn in new mining projects
It's interesting to see that facilities in the mining industry are doing well and that there is growth in this sector, especially when the marine counterpart doesn't seem to be doing as well. Seems like oil and gas in terms of offshore developments are slowing and we'll start to see more units of produce coming from the mining counterparts.

Pick n Pay, FoodForward SA partner for national Mandela Day food drive
I always find myself thinking how easy it would be to get rid of poverty, if people could just learn to share a little more. Looking at the amount of stuff that people have in storage and the excess that are in our homes and facilities, can't we be more generous to those who deserve our generosity?

IATA releases global air transport statistics for 2017
It has indeed become a rising trend of late for travellers to opt to fly instead of the other modes of transportation. With affordable rates from different airlines, travellers are simply looking for a faster and more comfortable route. It won't be long until more units will come forward with great deals for travellers to save while flying.

New parcel service takes on Post Office
I think that facilities handling post by the traditional way are going to start dying off if they do not figure out how to commercialise storage of their parcels in a bigger way. They've got to create more volume by processing more units of mail.

The ins and outs of a usufruct
This sounds like a good agreement plan for family members of the deceased to continue living within the said property without the hassle of going through a load of paperwork. When assets are concerned, families could be torn apart due to misunderstandings and disagreements. Thus, it is better to set up such an agreement for the unit to accommodate them as agreed upon by the deceased member.

Storage wars - why it's becoming increasingly difficult to find units to rent
Is it really so hard to find units to rent? Perhaps people are looking for storage units in places where there are high demand, it doesn't mean that there aren't any facilities with vacancies!

Serra Services signs seven-year lease in Growthpoint's Meadowbrook Estate 2
Looking at the nature of the business, space is key to ensure every single one of their business processes can be performed with ease. Running operations within an area with space constraints might work initially but down the road could pose a huge risk of overcrowding. This is especially true if the business has intentions of expanding which is a norm for most companies.

#StartupStory: Sxuirrel platform solves storage space issues
That's actually a really interesting name for this start up that perfectly describes what they do with storage of data units. I reckon it will sit very well with all these hipsters of the current generation…

Automation is key for distributors to act fast and meet customer demands
Automation is a great form of aide to improve repetitive manual processes. A warehouse facility manages retrieval, loading, packing as well as other operations that could otherwise be done much faster and easier with the help of automation. Cut down on processing time to meet more deadlines to fulfill greater demand.

We Buy Cars opens new head office in Midstream
I dread to think about their inventory system for all of those cars. But then again, I reckon that 1000 cars is going to be a lot easier to look after than say 1000 of any other sort of product. I mean, each vehicle unit has really specific and special characteristics in comparison to others that it'll probably be easy to sort them out in the facility!

Jungheinrich WMS named 'Best Factory Software 2018'
I wonder what it means to be able to run an award-winning logistics program for facilities. I reckon that they've done a really good job at turning around the traditional storage facilities with their software and technology.

Brands Africa chooses Cquential
Being a large establishment that has made significant impact in the industry, they should indeed be taking one step at a time. Having their warehousing facility managed by a company that practices a slow and steady approach is a safer option to ensure processes do not fall apart right when they are just starting out.

Industrial, logistics accommodation growing in strength - report
We are bound to witness fast growth within the logistics sector in every business district. The idea of strengtening one's supply chain and storage warehouse setup is to ensure that their deliveries will be in constant operation to prevent any downtime. This is the growing demand coming from end consumers themselves. Any failure to meet their expectations even by a small percentage could mean huge losses in terms of finances for their business.

May the best furniture win
I wonder what happens to all of these creations once the furniture has been built and all that? I mean, surely they don't break the furniture down after the creators spent so much time designing and eventually crafting it right? Perhaps there's some big storage warehouse somewhere where all of this stuff is going into..
