Best in global visual merchandising awarded
while it's most certainly quite important to recognize the top businesses in each field, I wonder how much of visual merchandising plays a part now in this digital age. All of you products could be easily rendered on a application without ever having to worry about what your final product really looks like...

8 supply chain technology trends to watch
I've actually been reading about these 3 aspects a lot and I'm quite excited to see how they are going to come together. Can you imagine these warehouses with such systems integrated? Putting things into storage and retrieving them could be a snap of the fingers in due time!

Best in global visual merchandising awarded
It is always a motivational factor to be recognised in the form of receiving an award. Regardless of the scale of the event, being awarded would always drive a person to perform even better. It is a win-win situation for both the giver and the recipient.

Landmark NYSE listing for Africa's unicorn, Jumia
This is what other business owners should be looking up to and aiming to achieve one fine day. Every business has its ups and downs and it is only a matter of time and effort being put through before the eventual goal can be achieved eventually. The whole process cannot obviously be done overnight and it requires proper strategy to make sure things work out as planned.

Every industry out there requires innovation in one form or another. Without it, business could stay stagnant and it could become dangerous for companies in the different markets. Innovation promotes growth and this is what is demanded by end users.

Future thinking translates into energy efficiency
Humans are truly capable of a lot of things. A lot of these technologies were mere thoughts a few years ago. But if we put our mind to it and are determined to make it happen, that's when we start to see our imagination come to life in tangible and physical products that can actually better our lives!

Sea Harvest in bid to buy up Australian-listed Mareterram
I just hope that as the company changes hands and that it's future lies in the balance, that the new managers of the company will choose to do things in a more sustainable way. Lord knows the seas are already suffering from current practices and will continue to suffer if we don't do something about it!

How Pick n Pay shelf space boosted this small, family-owned hygiene business
This seems like an amazing idea but I wonder what the implications are for the environment. One-use sachets are great for convenience but surely add up to the total amount of waste created at the end of the day. It's sad that we can't find a better compromise...

Eastern Cape auto industry enters new era
Every industry has their own peak period that is worth waiting for before penetrating into that particular market. The idea is to ensure that it is the most active season where demand is at its peak and facilities are filling up orders as we speak. That is a good time to introduce yourself as a newcomer where the chances of you being accepted are relatively high since the contrast between the demand versus supply ratio is clear.

Builders Warehouse African expansion gains momentum with third store in Mozambique
This is what every entrepreneur would want which is rapid and guaranteed growth. Though the initial phase could take a slow pace, but eventually huge success gets to be reaped. They first expanded with their second store and now looking at their third facility simply shows how much trust the consumer market has towards them with their endless support.

Solving the renewables storage problem
We already have alternative energy sources in mind but what about alternative energy storage solutions? The whole situation can never be fully achieved if any one of the processes is still left hanging. Not a single issue should be left unsolved in order to generate results all at once.

Long4Life is a shot in the arm for Holdsport
There needs to be a high level of confidence for any company to want to take that leap of faith to acquire a struggling unit. It is usually not an easy decision to make even if both of their business nature come from the same background. In such a scenario, usually the parent company would have made quite a significant impact on the market, thus the new addition wouldn't be needing that much introduction to see progress.

Supplier Award 2018 for Imperial Logistics
There are many factors that make a good warehouse facility. Apart from basic security, what consumers expect to be granted would be efficiency in turnaround of shipments. It should be an entire package that comprises also of correct products to be delivered and no damages within.

Supplier Award 2018 for Imperial Logistics
I reckon that you would have to have a pretty high standard of procedure and governance over operations in order to win an award for it at your factories! The different departments and units of the company must be so proud to have won this!

Digitalising the CFOs role
Being able to crunch the numbers is very different from being able to read it. No matter how much you said you'll be able to predict something just by starting at all these figures, I reckon that it'll take a real human head to actually make some industry-shaking realisations and predictions!

Joint venture to provide some XtraSpace in Mauritius
Companies are known to seek expansion opportunities when the market is booming with demand. Self storage is indeed a popular necessity for almost every household and has began to emerge as a commodity for most. With supplies running low, joint ventures are bound to pop up to ensure everyone gets the extra space they need.

BPL plays host to one of a kind Rolls-Royce
Besides the fact that Rolls Royce has facilities that build jet engines, I really don't see the draw. I mean, I like a good car as much as the next, but not when the car is multiple times more expensive than something else that would work just as fineā€¦

Automated warehouse with new contour control
That is a massive number of storage locations which most certainly means that an automated system is indeed necessary to be implemented. Without one, workers need to manually pick the inventory using lifters or escalators equipment which need more time and have its own risks. With an automated warehousing system, inventory can be retrieved by simply entering the location code inside the sytem.

Jungheinrich WMS: New interface for increased user-friendliness
I am really bad at visualising this sort of thing. I would really need to have a hands on demonstration to see how such technology would change how things work in my facility.

ID Logistics SA reduces carbon footprint
Everyone around the world is doing their best to contribute towards green efforts and large organisations play a highly crucial role. Their business operations are processed on a daily basis and just a small effort would have a huge overall impact to the environment. The step taken by this company with their distribution facility would definitely encourage other business owners to participate as well.
