Africa Bike Week 2015 was WILD!
Over Freedom Day weekend, thousands of motorcycle fanatics gathered in Margate, KZN to take part in the seventh consecutive Africa Bike Week, brought to you by Harley-Davidson.
From the moment I arrived in the coastal town, bike enthusiasts were scattered throughout the streets, showing off their most prized possessions - their motorcycles.
Having never ever been on a motorcycle, I knew I was in for an adventure I would never forget. I also didnt realise how loud it would be. From bikes revving and opening throttles, to the live entertainment and partying at the main stage.
The highlight of Africa Bike Week 2015 has definitely got to be the Mass ride in which thousands of bikers gathered together to ride the streets of Margate all at once.
Nomusa Mqwebu, Hibiscus Coast mayor screamed above roaring engines, "Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines!" and cut the ceremonial ribbon to open the mass ride.
Africa Bike Week is truly a sensory overload, with some adrenalin-fuelled action and a programme of activities in store.
