Joke's on you - graffiti artist shares some laughs in JHB
Advertising billboards across Johannesburg have been hit by an unknown graffiti vandal. Billboards in Fourways, Bryanston, Midrand, Rosebank, Hyde Park and at the Sandton Police Station have all been vandalised with the words 'ha ha ha' in red capital letters.

It's unclear who the vandal is, but it'll be interesting to see who this Joker is. *Update*: Well, it turns out the graffiti vandal was in fact Ster-Kinekor. It forms part of the cinema chain's campaign for the Joker film....

24th Pendorings continue the celebration of indigenous languages
The 24th Pendoring Indigenous Advertising Awards was held at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) Arts Centre on 31 October 2019. The annual awards celebrate creativity in the indigenous languages of South Africa.

TBWA/Hunt Lascaris received the Umpetha Award for 'The Real Cost of Being Zulu' radio campaign for City Lodge Hotels. North-West University was the overall student winner for 'Mengelmoes'.

The lineup for the evening included TV host and radio presenter, Hulisani Ravele, who mesmerised the audience with her multilingual capabilities and charm, together with the hilarious knitted-jersey lover, Schalk Bezuidenhout....

To mark World Osteoporosis Day on 20 October, South African calcium supplement MenaCal.7 released its 'Woman to the bone' campaign. The campaign - which features leading South African women Leanne Manas, Amy Kleinhans-Curd and Refiloe Seseane - aims to raise awareness of osteoporosis as well as the role South African women play in building a strong nation.

While it takes a stance on the contribution of South African women in society, it also tackles the irony that women's bones are more susceptible to calcium deficiency due to factors such as pregnancy and menopause - which lead to bone weakness....
