Thabiet Booley named CEO of Astron Energy

Thabiet Booley, CEO, Astron Energy

Booley has also served as director on numerous Sasol Subsidiary Boards and Joint Ventures, as well as the boards of the South African Petroleum Industry Association (SAPIA) and Chemical and Allied Industries’ Association (CAIA). He most recently held the position of senior vice president, Portfolio Strategy and Sustainability for the Sasol Group.

Prior to this, he held a wide range of senior executive positions, including the managing director of Sasol Oil, senior vice president for Sasol Energy and senior vice president of Sasol Base Chemicals, amongst others.

In addition to holding a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry, Booley has also completed various global executive programmes.
