Angloplat expects H1 HEPS up 20%

Anglo American Platinum (Angloplat) announced on Monday, 15 June, it expects its interim headline earnings per share ended June 2015 to be at least 20% higher than the comparative reporting period in 2014.

For the period under review, basic earnings per share will also be at least 20% higher than the comparative period.

"The increase in headline earnings and basic earnings is primarily due to the improvement in operational performance following the protected industrial action in the comparative period," Angloplat said.

The world's top platinum producer warned that it could not yet quantify a more specific range or a percentage increase, and would release a further announcement once there was more certainty.
