Western Cape companies awarded for good performance

Productivity South Africa, the government's pre-eminent custodian of productivity bestowed productivity awards on three businesses in the Western Cape at the Western Cape Productivity Awards held at Erinvale Estate in Somerset West.

The awards are adjudged from three categories, corporate, emerging and public sectors. A total of eight companies were shortlisted, with three in the corporate sector, three in the public and two in the emerging or SMME sector.

"It is pleasing to see an increase in the number entries from companies who are willing to participate in these awards and implement the workplace principles and programs that uphold productivity in their businesses," said Albert Brink, Cape regional manager at Productivity SA.

Acknowledgement for contribution to SA productivity capacity

In these awards Productivity SA acknowledges all the businesses and enterprises that contribute to South Africa's productivity capacity. These are businesses that are committed to improving the standards of living in the relevant province and those contributing positively towards economic growth.

This regional annual event is a precursor to the National Productivity South Africa Awards which will take place in October.

The business partners in the regional awards are Western Cape Province, Cape Chamber of Commerce and Productivity SA. The various executive directors will be presenting the awards at the ceremony.
