Africa's second deepest container port hosts Evolution 2012 Forum

According to Dredging Today, Cape Town boasts the second deepest container port in Africa and expects to see its container capacity expand to one million TEU's per annum by 2013.

This year sets the stage for African maritime strategy building between ports authorities, terminal operators, and importers and exporters who will be meeting later this year in Cape Town at the African Ports Evolution 2012 Forum, reports Dredging Today.

This is the only Pan-African forum providing coastal and hinterland stakeholders proven, future-proofed solutions for expansion and alternatives for demand driven port planning to optimise transport infrastructure development. Forum delegates will also get to visit the Cape Town port in a unique post-forum tour hosted by Transnet, Dredging Today says.
