Air tax hike to hit ticket prices
Airport tariffs will increase 34.8% in the 2010/11 financial year, which was "unavoidable but necessary", the Airports Company SA (Acsa) said on Thursday.
Air travel costs will rise sharply after the Airports Company of South Africa announced that it was increasing its tariffs by 34,8%. The company says that it realises that a sharp increase in its tariffs will have an impact on air travel but claims that the rise is "unavoidable".
