Cape Royale celebrates with SA Children's Home this Mandela Day
Cape Royale Luxury Hotel & Spa participated in Mandela Day a week earlier on Thursday, 10 July 2013 at the South African Children's Home in Gardens, Cape Town. The team's aim for the visit was to educate, care for, nurture and develop the children's basic need that in return aligns with the homes mission.
The SA Children's Home was visited by 10 executive team members that took along a variety of stationery, food and toiletries supplies which was donated by the various in-house departments. Each team member spent one on one time with each child and taught them skills such as hand and eye co-ordination. Signed cricket bats by the Cape Cobras were given to the boys, which will aid in the nurturing and developing this skill in the future.
The SA Children's Home opens their hearts to the South African public all year round by welcoming volunteering time, donated goods and monetary donations. Cape Royale Luxury Hotel & Spa will be taking Mandela Day a step further by serving one of Madiba's favourite dishes, Oxtail and Pap, at the Bistro 1800 and for every R100 spent at the restaurant, will be donating R10 to a charity of its choice.
