SOS Children's Villages receive gift cards from Edgars

Thanks to loyal customers shopping over the Edgars advertising campaign, "A Time to Give", and a donation made by Edgars, R360 690 was raised for the SOS Children's Villages. The Edgars team handed over 1 093 gift cards valued at R330 each at the SOS Children's Village in Ennerdale south of Johannesburg in July.

"Edgars has always been committed to helping and supporting the community, but witnessing firsthand the delight on these children's faces has made us even more determined to find new ways of giving back," said Belinda Godfrey, marketing executive at Edgars.

SOS Children's Villages South Africa comprises eight individual villages and takes care of 1093 previously abandoned, orphaned and vulnerable children, which means that each will now have the opportunity to visit an Edgars store near them and pick out some new clothes.
