Elizabeth Anne's, Purity continue support for Avril Elizabeth

Generous South African mothers who use Elizabeth Anne's and Purity baby products have over the past year contributed R650,000 to the Avril Elizabeth Home, showing that they have truly embraced the 'Share the Care' campaign which brings loving care to 170 residents. To date, just over R5.3 million has been donated to the home.

"Elizabeth Anne's and Purity have been part of Avril Elizabeth's donor family for 19 years. Through their 'Share the Care' campaign they have enabled women throughout the country to support our children who, through intellectual and physical disabilities, are unable to fully enjoy what life has to offer. Their support to donating a portion of some product sales to our home, has helped us provide a nurturing environment and development opportunities to our residents," said Kathy Joost, CEO of the Avril Elizabeth Home.

"This generous programme has helped ensure that our residents, who include 75 orphaned, abandoned and indigent children, receive the physical care and training they need. Our thanks for years of commitment and support go to Elizabeth Anne's and Purity and their consumers."

Home has a special place

Wendy Harker, brand manager for Baby Wellbeing said that the Home was warmly regarded by Tiger Brands. "The Avril Elizabeth Home has a special place in our hearts as it cares for some of the most challenged residents in South Africa. The home's dedication to bringing out the best it can in all its residents is unique and something that deserves our ongoing support", she said. "We have never ceased to be amazed at the dedication, caring and love given to these children by the staff at Avril Elizabeth Home and are proud to support this worthy cause," said Harker.

The 'Share the Care' campaign was a firmly entrenched tradition that enabled the Avril Elizabeth Home to benefit from sales of Elizabeth Anne's & Purity Toiletry products and Purity Boxed Cereals purchased between July and October 2011. "Each time one of these products is sold during the promotional period, ten cents of the purchase price is donated to Avril Elizabeth. It is a concrete way for us and our customers to take an active role in assisting those less fortunate," said Harker.
