AxizWorkgroup helps spread the warmth this winter

The Mug and Tree soup kitchen is situated in Krugersdorp in Gauteng and feeds at least 200 people every day. Its youngest member is a mere three weeks old, whilst the oldest is 85 years.

AxizWorkgroup launched the Winter Warmer initiative in June and gave employees the opportunity to donate non-perishable food and clothing. The official handover of the donations to Mug and Tree was made on Tuesday, 24 July at AxizWorkgroup's offices, and a sizeable amount of cash was also donated.

Owner of Mug and Tree, Trudie Naudé, has plans for expanding Mug and Tree's reach. She is in the process of opening up a pre-primary school, offering an aftercare service, as well as opening an orphanage for the children in the area.
