Managing Transformation Solutions launches training division
MTS chief executive, Sue Brandt says the current challenge across the mining industry was the paucity of expertise needed to fulfil transformation that satisfied authorities, investors, employees and community stakeholders while ensuring the business of mining remained viable and profitable.
"We have combined expertise of over 30 years and we understand that continuous learning is essential in order to effectively manage the changing landscape of the mining sector,'' says Brandt. "Led by the industry experts in transformation, our training will optimise and share collective learning on key focus areas, impart lessons learnt and industry best practices for sustainable and effective transformation delivery."
Focus is pillars of transformation
MTS Training Division will run a seminar series throughout the year concentrating on the major pillars of transformation in mining. It will also launch transformation awareness products in the second quarter which will include a series of posters and a Transformation Implementers Handbook. Brandt says the division is also currently in the process of becoming an accredited training provider and the development of its accredited transformation skills programme is underway and scheduled to be launched in November.
The training modules are aimed at social labour plan (SLP) managers and transformation implementation teams. It will empower and capacitate practitioners through formalised and structured transfer of knowledge and skills.
The seminars that will be presented are as follows:
- 22 May 2012 - Your SLP - Your Business Plan for Transformation
- 23 May 2012 - Achieve Transformation Through Effective Social and Labour Plan Delivery
