Department confirms Bhudu's arrest
The Department of Correctional Services (DCS) has confirmed Golden Miles Bhudu's arrest at the High Court in Pretoria earlier this week.

Bhudu's arrest followed his unauthorised use of prescribed sentenced offender uniform. Bhudu is the president of the Police and Prisons Civil Rights Union (Popcru).
Section 124b of the Correctional Services Act, Act 111 of 1998, states: "Any unauthorised person who wears or uses the prescribed sentenced offender dress, or anything deceptively resembling them is guilty of an offence and liable for a conviction to a fine or, in default of payment, to incarceration for a period not exceeding 18 months or to such incarceration without the option of a fine or both."
The South African Police Service is currently investigating the matter.
