The union and South African Airways Technical (SAAT), the maintenance subsidiary of South African Airways, signed an agreement on Monday.
In terms of the agreement employees will return to work today.
Spokesperson for SAA Tlali Tlali had earlier said the strike had had minimal effect on the operations at the airline.
"The SAA Group extends its earnest gratitude to staff members who showed their commitment to the company and made immeasurable sacrifices to ensure that the integrity of the airline's contingency plans is not compromised and operations continued as normal as possible," said SAA in a statement.
It further thanked the law enforcement agencies and all stakeholders for their cooperation during the strike.
