President Jacob Zuma will open the Congress of SA Trade Unions' new headquarters in Johannesburg on Wednesday, 29 February 2012.
The event was scheduled to take place at 10am in Jorissen Street, Braamfontein.
The African National Congress is part of a historic alliance with Cosatu and the SA Communist Party, known as the tripartite alliance.
Last Wednesday Cosatu's Gauteng chairperson Phutas Tseki said the debate on whether the ANC was leading the Cosatu in the right direction needed to continue.
"Are we part of the ANC or walking next to the ANC?" Tseki asked in Johannesburg.
"Are we not seen to be part of the ANC in the form of campaigns led by the ANC and leadership of the ANC?"
Tseki was addressing delegates at the Cosatu Gauteng provincial executive committee meeting. He said the ANC was leader of the alliance, a decision supported by Cosatu. However, there was nothing wrong with debating whether the ANC was taking Cosatu forward.
"Are we being pushed away?" asked Tseki.
He also spoke about labour brokers, saying Cosatu was pleased Zuma had addressed the issue during his state-of-the-nation address two weeks ago.
