Following the success of the first Soweto Health and Wellness Expo, the second instalment is in the offering, and this time around with the endorsement of the Gauteng Department of Health and Social Development.
The 2nd Annual Soweto Health and Wellness Exhibition and Conference will take place from 10-12 February 2011 at the University of Johannesburg, Soweto Campus. Various companies and organisations in the health care sector will be participating to promote different health and wellness related services and products.
The primary objective of the event is to highlight the importance and benefits of health and wellness within our communities. Through the exhibition, the aim is to introduce products and services available to benefit the ordinary people and utilising the conference and seminar, create a platform for the exchange of knowledge and expertise within the health sector and provide meaningful support to NGO's involved in the community.
Multiple health sector stakeholders from the medical fraternity within the public and private sectors, national and local government healthcare officials, business people and traders involved in health and wellness, Pharmaceutical and Medical Aid companies, alternate medical practitioners, therapists and physical fitness entities will be in attendance.
This is a free event for the public that also promises a variety of fun activities such as health-themed theatre, choral music, poetry, Five-A-Side soccer and a Fun Walk on the closing day, 12 February 2011.
