Thai massage to de-stress Capetonians and support Cuppa for Cansa
enmasse is a new Thai massage outlet situated at Avalon 3, 123 Hope Street, Gardens, Cape Town. It will enable Capetonians to escape the stress of modern day living by including authentic Thai massage into their way of life. And R100 will be donated to CANSA for everyone who makes a group booking during October, 2010.
enmasse is a unique massage concept that strives to make massage a regular way of life, as opposed to an occasional luxury. The primary treatment is Thai massage, which is performed without oil and with clients fully clothed in comfortable white cotton. The convenience of being able to make an appointment at a moment's notice or simply to pop in for a treatment seven days a week should find a spot for enmasse in even the busiest of working schedules.
Authentic Eastern allure
The owner of enmasse, Murray von Hirschberg, compares the concept to how sushi has been embraced by the Western world. "Initially it was an exotic treat, but now it has become a part of our lifestyle while still retaining its authentic Eastern allure. Thai massage at enmasse is healthy, fulfilling, relaxing and, above all, convenient and 'served' in a unique, authentic and aesthetically appealing space."
A Thai massage is a deep-tissue massage combined with assisted yoga-like stretching. Therapists perform the treatment on a mat, as opposed to a bed, leveraging their body weight to apply firm rhythmic pressure and manipulate your body into various yoga-like positions. The experience manages to be both relaxing and invigorating and energising. Thai massage relieves the pain of stressed and overworked muscles while also increasing your range of motion and improving your posture and body alignment. And the benefits of this form of stress relief and healing increase with repeated treatments. Most importantly, while your muscles unwind, your mind is given a chance to relax and forget about the stresses of daily life. After your treatment you are encouraged to relax on the sofas and enjoy one of the 47 complimentary, therapeutic teas before facing the remainder of your day in a calm and energised fashion.
Membership packages
enmasse focuses on Thai massage, but also offers Shiatsu, reflexology and pregnancy massages. All treatments are performed in white cotton clothing without the use of oil and take place in soothing blue surrounds. Membership packages are offered for those in need of regular de-stressing. enmasse is open seven days a week from 8am to 10pm.
Parking is available through Gate 2 on Schoonder Road.
