GrandWest Park & Ride service

GrandWest's park-and-ride facility is positioned next to a metro-rail station and the company has set aside an additional 1000 parking bays. The service is free of charge for those possessing a match ticket.

Football fans can park in the designated area, walk through the complex and exit at the Welcome Centre from where a short walk will take them to the Goodwood train station. A tent has been erected outside the Welcome Centre and people are welcome to purchase refreshments on the way.

Anyone in possession of a match ticket will not be required to pay for either the train trip to the CBD or the shuttle service from Cape Town station to the stadium, which is provided by the City of Cape Town.

Not the same as the bus shuttle

However, the city-shuttle service between Cape Town station and the stadium should not be confused with the complementary bus-shuttle service that GrandWest is offering from the complex to hotels in the CBD, Waterfront and GrandWest for the duration of the FIFA World Cup.

The GrandWest shuttle service consists of two buses operating 14 circular trips every day, on the hour, from 11am to 1.30pm, including public holidays, until 11 July.

The branded buses have capacity for 66 passengers seated, with 25 passengers standing. They will depart from the GrandWest main entrance opposite the La Famiglia, dropping off passengers at the Cape Sun, Protea Victoria Junction Hotel, Cape Royale Hotel, Radisson Hotel, Table Bay Hotel, Victoria & Alfred Hotel, CTICC and the Westin Grand Hotel.

Anyone based in the city wishing to travel to GrandWest, can simply hop on the bus for the return trip.

The help line for passengers making use of the GrandWest shuttle service is 0800 65 64 63.
