Meet new people in Great Conversations
Great Conversations offers Joburgers the chance to get together for an evening of fun and laughter, as a way for people to get out of the normal rut of same places, same conversations and to think more positively. The next dinner is at 7.30pm on Thursday, 6 May, 2010, at Mandolino Restaurant, Sandton Town & Country Hotel (behind Leaping Frog) in Fourways/Lonehill.
For a cost of R285 per person, this month's conversation leader is Peter Brits, a wine collector of note, drinker and raconteur with 30 years' experience, who will guide diners on a fun journey entitled Marvellous Muscadels and Jolly Jerepigos.
This fun look at some of South Africa's less-well-known fortified wines will include some of his personal prize collection and partakers can start tasting in 1930, pass through 1953 and round off their journey in modern times, while having delicious food, excellent company and, of course, Great Conversation!
Cupid known to pop in
Great Conversations is not a business network, though connections may happen; it is certainly not a dating service, though Cupid has been known to pop in on occasion - it is simply about getting out and engaging with other stimulating and interesting people and shifting the focus from gloom to gladness.
