Easter for the kids at Montecasino

There's even more magic over at the Montecasino Bird Gardens where the Flight of Fantasy Bird Show will take to the skies from Friday, 2 April to Monday, 5 April each day at 11am, 1pm and again at 3pm, and where you stand the chance of winning spot prizes just by being there. On Saturday, 3 April and Sunday, 4 April Willy Wonka will be in the Bird Gardens handing out sweets and autograph cards, from 11am to 3pm, while Montgomery, the Bird Gardens' mascot make a surprise visit on Sunday, 4 April to help the Easter Bunny hide all his eggs, chocolates and sweets for you to find. There will be two Easter egg hunt sessions, one at 11.45am and the other at 1.45pm.

Run wild in the Bird Gardens

The Montecasino Bird Gardens will feature a special children's holiday programme filled with lots of fun and learning for all ages. From Monday, 29 March to Thursday, 1 April, and again in the week of Tuesday, 6 to Friday, 9 April young animal lovers are invited to run wild in the Bird Gardens' secure environment while enjoying such activities as interactive tours, games and crafts themed around birds, creepy crawlies, and mammals, or being “a trainer for a day” and getting up close and personal with the variety of animals housed there. The special price entrance fee over this period is R120 for kiddies, and includes lunch, a goodie bag and take-home craft activities. World Cup

There is also something special planned for our favourite guests over the 2010 FIFA World Cup holiday period. From 1 June and 31 July we'll be brining you a “kiddies-only” affair with strictly no parents allowed (except for if you're very young and the folks feel they absolutely have to come along.)
