Refreshed website for Emerald Resort and Casino
The Emerald Resort and Casino has recently launched its refreshed website following a rebrand late last year. The new online presence was created to marry design and improved functionality.
“The new site improves accessibility across all browsers and bandwidth user groups,” said CEO Martin Rice. “Simplicity in design, while showcasing the full offering of the Emerald Resort and Casino, allows for easy browsing whether on ADSL or a dial-up account.” He said, in line with global trends, the emeraldcasino.co.za site was redeveloped in line with this philosophy.
Returning to simplicity
“The Internet, and the way in which it is leveraged commercially, has come full circle” said Rice. “The trend to return to simplicity from over-animated, widget-rich and over-populated websites is growing.” Today, browsers seek fast information in limited time while business seeks to communicate its offering as succinctly as possible. “The new site is quick, with simplified navigation based on assumed browsing logic. This way, surfing forms a string of answers to frequently asked questions.” Rice said results from the optimised and tagged test site were encouraging, with unsolicited impressions showing positive growth.
