Three days to the Cape Town Comedy Festival
The Baxter Theatre will be hosting the 2009 Nando's Cape Town Comedy Festival from 13 September. It will feature the best local and international comedy and is brought to you by Good Hope FM and M-Net.
Hunta Live, together with headline sponsor Nando's, will heat up the mother city and make the three-week long Cape Town leg of the Comedy Festival even bigger, better and perri-perri funny.
As usual, the festival activities will include something for everyone - from the Baxter's Main Arena and Danger Zone Shows, to the local Comedy Showdown competition at Zula Bar and the free-for-all family-friendly Street Comedy festivities at the V&A Waterfront.
The festival sees leading comedians from all corners of the world sharing a bill with top South African stand-up comics and, this year, the bill will include the likes of Angelo Tsarouchas, Dean Edwards, Ahmed Ahmed, Kira Soltonavich, Loyiso Gola, Kagiso Lediga, Simon Clayton and Michael Mittermeier.
As part of the Street Comedy Festival, Leapin' Louie Lichtenstein and The Joka Boys will dazzle all who come to watch them perform free of charge at the V&A Waterfront.
The Nando's Cape Town Comedy Festival will run from 13 September to 4 October 2009 and tickets can be purchased at Computicket www.computicket.com.
