Walk the Talk in Joburg
Supporters of the Johannesburg Chevrah Kadisha, the Jewish welfare organisation, will be walking in Discovery 702's Walk the Talk on 25 July, 2010, to raise funds for emergency life-saving surgical procedures.
Last year, instantly recognisable by their bright purple balloons, purple caps and black T-shirts adorned with the names of their sponsors, over 500 people took to the streets to walk under the Chevrah's banner.
“We do the 8km walk” said Cindi Bobroff, team co-ordinator, “and are expecting a much bigger crowd of walkers this year. Team spirit is always great, but with the added excitement of the World Cup, the mood of Joburgers is bound to be upbeat!”
