Local Cape Town boy JP Dumminy gave a match winning performance against Royal Challengers Bangalore at Port Elizabeth on Sunday. Recieving the man of the match award as well as ending Mumbai Indians three match losing streak.
Duminy saves Mumbai Indians

Duminy scored an unbeaten 59 from 41 balls, his fourth 50 plus score in the IPL. This pushing his total runs scored to 297 placing him third on the runs table that's lead by the legendary Mathew Hayden. In a team that relies on a batting performance from Sachin Tendulkar, JP steped up to the crease and lead the attack. Setting a new third partnership record of 104 with Ajinkya Rahane. JP's perfomance was much needed for Mumbai as this gave them hope for a spot in the semi-finals.
"Yeah, I am happy that I contributed to my teams cause. Obviously, off late I have been scoring a few runs but it was disappointing to see the team lose despite that. It was an important win for us and I am happy to have scored," said JP after after the match.

Through out the season JP has been moving up and down the batting order as Mumbai tried to find the right combinations to win. Chief Mentor to the Mumbai Indians Shaun Pollock agrees that he should be placed at fourth where he is comfortable.
"I think it looked pretty settled with Sachin-Jayasuriya at the top, JP Duminy at number four, Abhishek at five and Bravo at six. I think it was pretty good line-up," said Pollock. "To move up on the points table, everyone needs to play their roles to perfection. We need to bat well and bowl to our strength," added Pollock.

After his last performance JP knows his work is not done yet. Mumbai Indians face fifth placed Kings XI Punjab next at Centurion, Pretoria on Tuesday. Hopefully JP can carry on with this momentum and help his team move forward.
