U.S.A produces a shocker!

I feel like I'm sleeping... and I'm having this nightmare that U.S.A beat the current world number one football team Spain. BUT I'M NOT SLEEPING AND IT'S STILL A NIGHTMARE! Last night was of the most unexpected wins ever. All of us thought it would be a Brazil against Spain final, how wrong were we?
U.S.A produces a shocker!

Spain came into the match far too relaxed, thinking that they would take an easy win; did they not learn from history that there's a term “don't count your chickens before they hatch”? A 16 minute strike by Villarreal's Jozy Altidore saw U.S.A take the lead which woke up Spain's attack. It was however the brilliant tactical play by U.S.A's coach Bob Bradley, U.S.A's strong defence which was like the Great Wall of China, and Everton's goal keeper Tim Howard that cemented the greatest victory for American football to date.

"When you play Spain you certainly have to work very hard as a group to defend. We made a special point to close down Xavi as best we could to prevent his penetrative passes," said USA coach Bradley.

And so they did Xavi was no were to be seen and the American defence swarmed like bee's around Torres and Villa. Again and again U.S.A had to deal with the Spanish attack until a few minutes later they turned the attack around on Spain to slot the second goal by Patrick Dempsey. This was the final nail in the coffin for Spain and their 15 consecutive wins. U.S.A was 2-0 up and that's how it remained.

Now Bafana is basically one step away from the final and two steps away from wining the Confederation Cup. I know its Brazil; I know even though they are not number one on the World FIFA Ranking's, they are still considered number one. So what does Santana do? The same thing U.S.A has done to Spain, stop their key players. After last night's upset Brazil knows that Bafana knows that anything's possible. We will have to see tonight and let's hope the article I post tomorrow will be good news and the article after that will be even better news. You never know...
