International Yoga Icon, Jules Febre comes to Yoga Zone, Cape Town
Fulvio Grandin, owner and teacher of Yoga Zone comments, "We are extremely excited in welcoming this phenomenal yogi to our country, especially in our very own studio, where our students have the opportunity to experience this Vinyasa style of yoga from the master himself - allowing them to really understand the core of yoga and its principles."
Jivamukti, meaning "liberation while living", is a modern style of yoga, founded in the early 80's by Jules' uncle and aunt, David Life and Sharon Gannon. Jivamukti combines the study of Ashtanga yoga with spiritual teachings; placing special emphasis on how to apply yogic philosophy to daily life.
Being raised in NYC's Lower East Side, clouded with the negativity of drugs and gang warfare, Jules was not the likeliest candidate to become a yogi leader. However, from his exposure to yoga at a young age, combined with his travels to India at the age of 13, Jules has become a yogic guru with some serious flair. Today he is the CEO of Jivamukti Inc. in New York City and continues to bridge the gap between the ancient and the contemporary. With classes enriched by extraordinary soundtracks, Jules still honours the tried and true principles of asana tradition. "In the true spirit of Jivamukti, students can enjoy his sequences that are both challenging and adventurous with a deep spiritual focus," comments Grandin.
Join Jules at Yoga Zone for an extraordinary two hour class over the weekend of 23, 24 and 25 July, where one can expect to have your world turned right side up.
