Asleep In Transit release Kaleidoscope Documentary

Asleep In Transit have just released their Kaleidoscope Documentary, which follows the band from their first EP launch back in March 2012, to May 2013, and features the writing and recording of the band's latest EP, "Kaleidoscope".

Allister Christie came up with the idea of a documentary because the band wanted to show a side of them that people don't get to see: the song-writing process, touring and recording, and to introduce the band to people better.

Fans will get to see the band in a very intimate light behind the scenes; hanging out, throwing snowballs, and working on music deep in the snowy drifts of the KZN Drakensberg. It was shot all over SA - from Knysna to Joburg, but focuses on the writing and recording of "Kaleidoscope" in the KZN Drakensberg, and in Durban at various locations. It basically runs from the start of the band, to where they are right now.

Get Out Of The Garage 2013

AIT also recently made it into the Top 10 finalists in Converse's Get Out Of The Garage 2013 competition. The competition, now in its second year of running, offers the winning band a chance to record at a studio in New York City, as well play at the renowned 100 Club in London.

They decided to enter the competition because it is a great opportunity for them to take Asleep in Transit to a wider audience, and to get the experience of recording in New York should they win. Converse is a great brand that really fits with them as a band and that supports South African talent, and they are stoked to be associated with them in this competition.
