City of Heroes to open for Billy Talent
The Pretoria Botanical Gardens will host a picnic like no other on Saturday, 24 August, 2013. As the sun sets over the Capital City, Canadian rockers Billy Talent will end off the first official OppiKoppi After Party. Joining them on stage will be Pretoria band City of Heroes.
City of Heroes have been working on the follow-up EP to their album "The Great Unknown", which had four singles playlisted on campus and online radio stations and two videos flighting on high rotation across MK, MNET and SABC. The follow-up single and video will be available to the public in mid-September.
The band's videos and live performances are authentic, passionate and inspirational. They use their music to connect with people and portray a message of hope and, in turn, create a culture that encourages self-belief and positive thinking. Their live performances are an experience rather than just another band on a stage.
There is a R100 discount on tickets if you have a 2013 OppiKoppi wristband.
Tour dates
24 August: Pretoria Botanic Gardens. Tickets: R450 without an OppiKoppi 2013 wristband or R350 with a valid 2013 OppiKoppi Bewilderbeast wristband. Show-goers will be checked for the band at the gate. www.plankton.mobi.
