Space Ibiza on Tour comes to SA

Space Ibiza, voted World's Best Club and Best Global Club, will be coming to the southern tip of Africa for its inaugural South African event, which is set to be an annual production. In collaboration with Space Ibiza's own Space production team, G&G Productions, the electronic dance music and live event promoters, obtained the exclusive licence to produce Space Ibiza on Tour in South Africa annually. The event will feature legendary Space Ibiza resident DJs, local DJs and cutting-edge innovation in stage design, lighting technology and special effects.

Hailing from the island synonymous with clubs, DJs and electronic dance music, Space Ibiza is the pioneering club brand that travels internationally to exhilarate dance music devotees the planet over, "Mecca style" from Morocco to Jakarta, from London to Rio and from Sharmel-Sheikh to Dubai. Showcasing a production spectacle of galactic proportions and the iconic Space theme at every venue, Space Ibiza on Tour - South Africa is set to thrill dance club audiences for two nights in April.

The tour will treat Cape Town and Joburg fans to an explosive dance music exhibition with three of the clubs internationally acclaimed cosmonaut DJs in tow to headline the main dance floor at both events: Roger Sanchez, house music DJ luminary, Camilo Franco, celebrity deck master and Danny Marquez, spinning his trademark "Big Room Sound".

Internationally approved venues

For its inaugural launch, G&G Productions will produce the two events, hosted at internationally approved venues. With dance floors staying true to their international namesakes, Ibiza DJs, Roger Sanchez, Camilo Franco and Danny Marquez will "trail the blaze" on the main floor, while the Terrace Floor (outside) and Salon Floor will showcase South Africa's local best DJ's, who have all played club sets in Ibiza.

Gareth Devore of G&G Productions has promised: "We are aiming to make Space Ibiza on Tour - South Africa the most successful and exhilarating electronic dance music tour yet, especially in respect to pulling out all the stops to incorporate the ultimate in sound, technology, special effects, venue selection and, of course, Space Ibiza's own heavyweight and internationally acclaimed resident DJs."

The Samsung Galaxy Experience is behind the biggest and best electronic dance events to hit SA and through our involvement in Space Ibiza's tour we're now bringing out not one, but three of the club's resident DJs. The experience will be further enriched via inspired AV design and innovative video mapping." Space Ibiza is the third in a series of world-class events that form part of the 2013 Samsung Galaxy Experience.

With expectations of 7000 revellers between both cities, the events will be supported by DSTV's youth channel, MK. Stephan Potgieter, content executive of MK, said: "We are delighted to support Space Ibiza's adrenalin-charged international dance music spectacle."

G&G Productions is urging dance music enthusiasts to get their tickets from Computicket now to avoid disappointment. Space Ibiza on Tour in South Africa is happening in Joburg on Friday, 26 April, Nicci Beach Parking Area and Cape Town on 27 April, Mechau Street, The Side Show.
