New ISO album and national tour

This week ISO are releasing their fourth studio album, "Piece By Piece", followed by a national album launch tour. The album is more dance-orientated than before, yet it still contains their signature sound and features a mix of dance, rock, pop and indie.

The album was written in two months and recorded in one month at Nelius Nortje's studio in Pretoria. It was produced by Marko Benini and Richard Brokensha from ISO, and mastered by Rogan Kelsey from Lapdust.

"Piece By Piece", comprises 10 songs and two reprises. The album name comes from the fact that ISO recorded the entire album in-house and felt that they needed to take things step by step in order to attain a world-class product. "Piece By Piece" signifies the band slowly but surely putting the puzzle pieces together.

"We felt inclined to include as many aspects of modern pop culture in our music as possible and, obviously, with this being a digital era, it seemed natural to include some more electronic elements. This basically means more keyboards/synthesizers and more effects, which, overall, adds to the epic nature of our music."

The album's artwork, designed by Louis Minnaar, is highly detailed, yet the overall picture is simple and this is represented in the sound of the record. Doing everything in-house meant the band got exactly what they wanted when it comes to the overall sound of the album.
