Ticket holders will join the nominees and winners of three of the CCA categories: the Savanna Newcomer Award category; The BlackBerry Breakthrough Act category; and the Savanna Audience Choice Award category, who will each perform 15 minutes of stand-up (seven acts in total) as they take their voices out of the comedy clubs and onto the stage.
This CCA event promises audiences that the introduction to a select, but impressive, handful of fresh voices as they explode onto the South African comedy scene, will be a slick and sexy line-up giving the acts the chance to showcase their raw talent and original material.
The acts are: Schalk Bezuidenhout, winner of this year's Savanna Newcomer Award and the three nominees in his category: Kagiso Mokgadi, Loyiso Madinga and Eureka Nkese. From the BlackBerry Breakthrough Act Award category fans will be treated to comedy from this year's winner Mpho Popps Modikoane, Jason Goliath and 2011 award winner Deep Fried Man. Donovan Goliath is the one nominee that is regrettably not in the country for the event. Also performing at the CCA Showcase 2013 is Savanna Audience Choice Award winner, Sifiso Nene, who has become a hot favourite across the comedy landscape of South Africa.
Tickets are available through Computicket, with prices starting at R120 for nearly two hours of quality, innovative comedy entertainment.
