Virgin Active Sport Industry Awards attract record entries

The Virgin Active Sport Industry Awards official judging panel, made up of experts from across the business of sport and chaired by former Springbok captain Bob Skinstad, will examine the extensive list of entries to select the very best work South African sport has to offer. They will be recognised in front of a room filled with high-profile figures, influencers and household names at the Virgin Active Sport Industry Awards ceremony at Emperors Palace in Johannesburg on 7 February 2013.

In a first for the Virgin Active Sport Industry Awards, the decision on the winner of the coveted Award for Best TV Sport Commercial - last year presented by Heyneke Meyer and John Mitchell to Absa for the bank's popular Springbok Team of Millions advert - will be decided by the general public through an online vote held in January on SportsIllustrated.co.za.
