2013 Matric Results available on mobiles

Matric students can receive their exam results via their mobile phones in the New Year. Students can register to receive an SMS on the day the Department of Basic Education releases results.

SABC Education is providing the SMS service where the youth can register for their results by sending their ID number and exam number to the SMS number 35658; SMSs cost R3.

The release date for matric results has provisionally been set as 7 January 2014. Students who register via their mobile phones will receive an SMS on that date. Students are allowed to register until 31 January 2014.

The mobile service is available to the Department of Basic Education students only; SABC Education is in negations to include Independent Educations Body students in the future.
