According to The New Age, global mining company BHP Billiton has freezed all its projects in Gabon after signing a contract a year ago for the Belinga iron ore mine, in northeast Gabon.
Gabon has hopes of becoming the world's largest exporter of manganese, but faces political uncertainty and significant infrastructure hurdles.
