After studying natural sciences and specialising in bush survival, he is now considered to be one of the leading bush-craft specialists in Southern Africa. As a conservationist, he has also managed the animal collection for one of the largest zoological gardens in Africa, where he was committed to the breeding of many endangered species worldwide.

Coetzee's 75-minute presentation demonstrates the striking comparisons between the fight for survival of a San Bushman and the equally cut-throat world of business. He powerfully leads audiences into the fascinating life of the tribe (the company), their bush environment (the marketplace), the wildlife on which they thrive (the clients) and the predators with which they compete (the competitors). Coetzee illustrates that there is much to be learned from the ‘simple' life of the San people. He presents an energetic and professional presentation crafted to inspire, motivate, enthral and above all drive home the reality of personal commitment and survival in the corporate world especially in tough economic times.
