The token award?-
Seems to be, considering the panel. Posted on 12 Jun 2009 08:25
sad
It's all downhill from here-
How can this award be seen in the same light as a loerie, considering the fact that it doesn't have to have run. The loeries used to be a benchmark
of creativity, I think it is now a benchmark of politics. Posted on 12 Jun 2009 09:17
not representative enough-
Where are all the white judges? This panel is clearly racist. Posted on 12 Jun 2009 09:33
What is new voice award?-
Xplaine there please... Posted on 12 Jun 2009 10:05
DISCRIMINATION!!!!-
What, no Chinese representativity? Posted on 12 Jun 2009 14:48
This is good-
Afrikaans advertising has The Pendorings. A whole awards show dedicated to Afrikaans advertising that now enjoys the full endorsement of the Creative Circle. And that's cool. But a new teeny weeny category that strives to lift the creative level of vernacular radio advertising gets introduced and all of a sudden that's discriminatory, non-inclusive and anything else you might wanna call it. C'mon people.

Yes, the flighting thing is a bit of an issue. But change doesn't come easy. These are problems that they'll fix next year. Instead of looking at the 1 slightly negative aspect of the introduction of this category, rather look at the 10 positives it brings to the game. Posted on 13 Jun 2009 11:44
"Not represented enough" what a laugh!-
"Not representative enough" you must be kidding. Have you looked at the panel for Loeries online - ALL WHITE! Shame on you if you still feel hard done by colour. Is okay when ONLY WHITE panel represent you but when the Black panel is chosen you feel that you are not represented. Get over yourself moron. Posted on 15 Jun 2009 14:40

About time!!!!!!!-
This award is an excellent idea and it will do wonders for lifting vernacular spots in a country where English is only 1 of 11 official languages. Looking forward to hearing the winning spots. Posted on 15 Jun 2009 15:26

Siyabonga!-
Well done for making it onto the judging panel guys, this will be a highly anticipated category for us black folk, especially since you're recognising our vernac languages for the first time. Viva Loeries, Viva Pendorings, Viva New Voice. Posted on 15 Jun 2009 15:29
Don't listen to the doomsayers.-
This is AWESOME. Great achievement for an industry which is meant to be South African and represent all languages, not just Engish! Festus it's great to see you making such a positive difference. Posted on 15 Jun 2009 15:32
How to make money in a downturn-
I bet you loeries entries are down. So you create a category where work doesn't have to run. Entries flood in. This is all done under the guise of political correctness. Brilliant way to make cash guys. Posted on 17 Jun 2009 15:11
