Fighting back: How will the hospitality and tourism industry win the war against Covid-19?
The whole disgraceful sham was nothing more than a bad flu. For which, we lost our businesses, our jobs, our freedom and our civil rights. ENOUGH NOW. Stand in your own authority, stop being bullied by corrupt governments and globalists who are complete and utter control freaks with very nefarious agendas. Get off your knees and fight back against the fear mongering nonsense. Screw Covid 19 measures to they are totally unnecessary and masks will make you very sick while being totally USELESS against any virus. Wake up now before they take all our rights away alltogether!

#BizTrends2020: Waste management in the hospitality sector in 2020
That's wonderful but we need local municipality to get onboard. There is no recycling in Swellendam where I manage 2 hospitality properties and no where to take our recycling!

South Africans should work together to make the country a destination of choice
Thanks, Great positive outlook. The slogan "day zero" when we were having a water crisis did a lot of damage but we are pulling out of that now.

#EntrepreneurMonth: RentMyRide owns the adventure
I was informed by somebody senior at Rent My Ride that I could in fact rent out my Isuzu 2.8, Double Cab bakkie even though it had high mileage and is a 1997 model. Then when I tried to register my bakkie that my vehicle was too old and could not be insured. I was told this, very rudely and dismissed very abruptly once the lady consultant discovered I was not important as a client. Even though my bakkie is in very good condition. There should be a separate policy for older cars with different insurance or do Rent My Ride only cater for shiny new cars. Many people call me to rent my bakkie but I am not keen without some support systems or a company like Rent My Ride which should now adapt to the market needs and possibly employ less snooty consultants who don't treat you like you just crawled out from under a stone if you have an older vehicle.

10% Airbnb growth in Cape Town
I recently made a booking through airbnb for a room in Spain. While it appears to be reasonably priced there are plenty of extra costs. You pay an initial service fee on top of your booking and if there are any changes, as in my case, where the Host asked me to pay another Euros 50 as i was not staying longer than a month. Even though the rate on the airbnb listing is stated as monthly. Airbnb then charge you another service fee on top of the original service fee. You must also be very careful of the individual hosts cancellation fees as there are different levels. I tried to cancel my booking over a month before the arrival date and discovered that I would not get any refund and that I would still have to pay for a full month. So be very, very careful and read absolutely every clause you can find before making this booking as airbnb accept absolutely no responsibility despite many requests for them to help me.

SAA wins On Time Performance Service Award
Oh really. So why do I always receive such terrible service from them. Once in particular when coming all the back from China having flown and waited around in airports for over 31 hours, I finally arrive for my last flight of a very long journey from Johannesburg to Cape Town, only to be told by SAA that they have over booked my flight and I will have to wait another 4 hours for the next one!!!No apollogies, no putting me in first class no compensation NOTHING. Just unbelievable rudeness, insolence and a couldn't care less attitude all round. Especially by Ground Staff Management. I will NEVER fly SAA again.RegardsLidia Chambers

Tourism industry disappointed over SAA's withdrawal of London-CT route
The worst part about this news is that we have to go via O R Tambo airport! I travel a lot and I'm starting to really hate that airport.
