Cloud computing security: making virtual machines cloud-ready

The maturation of cloud computing represents a substantial opportunity for both service providers and enterprises. With cloud computing technology enterprises can reduce costs while gaining flexibility around the choice of their computing resources. Additionally, more and more organisations are turning to the cloud to address on-premise infrastructure needs by adding on-demand capacity.

This white paper explores Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), the cloud's answer to these infrastructure needs. It looks at the security considerations associated with this emerging technology and best practices around adoption.

Topics covered include:

Scalability and IaaS;
Security and compliance concerns associated with IaaS;
Five virtual machine security technologies for increased protection and compliance;
And more.
