Creative Week New York kicks off with a bang
Launched in 2001, One Show Design celebrates the best designs in communications and marketing with categories like posters, packaging, collateral broadcast and design for the greater good. Every year many of the top designers gather at the IAC Building for our awards presentation, which is showcased on one the most spectacular video installations in all of New York.
The AMP Awards will honour the brands and music creators whose sonic achievements - in song, original score and sound design - have left an indelible mark on our consciousness. More importantly, they've helped create a defining, lasting bond with consumers and underscore the importance of sound in any broadcast communication. A crucial part of the AMP Awards program will be establishment of an AMP Hall of Fame, honouring legendary brands and advertisers that have demonstrated a profound understanding and appreciation of the importance of music in telling their stories.
The One Show awards will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, 8 May, where only the best of the best make the cut - Gold, Silver and Bronze Pencils are given out to fewer than 100 entries every year. The One Show awards ceremony, held at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, features advertising's brightest stars from today and tomorrow. For almost 40 years, the One Show Pencil award has been the ultimate achievement in many creatives' careers. Every year, a panel of 30 creatives from around the world gather for a week and judge nearly 20,000 entries in categories including print, television, billboards and radio.
Creative Week New York will end off with the One Show Interactive awards show for digital marketing on Friday, 10 May. Pencils are given out for the best websites, mobile, gaming, online video, social media and many other categories and represent the best creative ideas in advertising today.
