South Africans headline at inaugural Citadel Inspiration Indaba
Conceptualised and hosted by Citadel, South Africa's leading wealth management specialist, the Inspiration Indaba is aimed at showcasing the stories of ordinary South Africans who get up every day to do extraordinary things. The line-up of speakers will include some of the country's most noteworthy entrepreneurs, trail blazers, thought leaders, innovators and business leaders.
The stellar line-up includes Herman Mashaba, globally recognised serial entrepreneur and founder of the iconical Black Like Me range; Siya Xuza, a young South African rocket scientist, Harvard graduate and energy technology entrepreneur who has garnered numerous global accolades, including an invitation to the 2006 Nobel Prize Ceremonies, a fellowship of the African Leadership Network in 2010 and the youngest member of the Africa 2.0 energy advisory panel; and Lee Swan, a business strategist passionate about sustainable business development and, as an adventurer, the first African woman to reach the Magnetic North Pole in 2011.
Pursuing dreams and goals
Says Citadel's Marketing Director, Andrew Finlayson "At Citadel we are passionate about connecting with South Africans and truly understanding what drives them to pursue their dreams and goals. The idea for the Inspiration Indaba came from our belief that everyone has a story and that everyone has a passion they wish to pursue. By offering a platform for rich narrative, engagement and debate, fellow South Africans caninspire each other to tap into and fulfil their unique potential. The Inspiration Indaba will be stories of South Africans by South Africans"
Other speakers at the Inspiration Indaba will include Paddy Upton (South African leadership coach and former cricketer), Rob Stokes (modern-day tech entrepreneur and founder of the multi-national Quirk Marketing), and Adrian Saville (well-known economist and investment specialist who is passionate about the growth opportunities for South Africa and the African continent).
