Transport Indaba's key focus on integrating trade, transport for Africa

As part of this year's Transport Month (OTM) campaign activities, the OR Tambo International Transport Indaba kicked off yesterday, Wednesday, 11 October 2017 and will run until Friday, 13 October 2017 at the Capital Hotel in Menlyn Maine in Pretoria, Gauteng.

The Indaba is hosted by the agency of the Department of Transport and Cross-Border Road Transport Agency (C-BRTA) and will focus on bringing together key industry players with a focus on unlocking Africa’s industrial potential through linking the African continent by means of integrating trade and transport to position the continent as a meaningful trading player in the global economic arena.

The C-BRTA will also be discussing the Linking Africa Plan, an initiative by the agency to enhance the performance of the regional transport system, thus enhancing intra-Africa trade and industrialisation in the continent.
