Interval International, a prominent worldwide provider of vacation services and an operating business of Interval Leisure Group, will host Shared Ownership Investment Conferences on 26 June in Cape Town and 28 June 2012 in Sandton, Johannesburg. The conferences will be co-sponsored by law firm ENS.
"We look forward to providing an opportunity for delegates to network with industry experts and hear about regional trends and key issues that could impact future resort development," said Darren Ettridge, Interval's senior vice president of resort sales and business development for Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia. "We also hope to encourage further dialogue about the positive effect shared ownership can have on the hospitality and tourism sectors."
Legal and tax review
The programme will feature leaders in shared ownership, such as Ettridge and keynote speaker Deon Viljoen, director of operations for Southern Sun Resorts. Viljoen will review the status of the South African industry and present valuable insight into its relevance to today's consumers, as well as its future.
Additional highlights will include sessions on the fundamentals of shared ownership, a detailed legal and tax review, and marketing and lead generation strategies. Experts will lead a case study on the 'real deal' during which speakers will analyse what it takes to bring a project from conception to market.
Other speakers include Shelley Mackay-Davidson, director of corporate commercial department, ENS; Brian Stocks, chairman of Sun International Vacation Club; Peter Pienaar, general manager of Southern Sun Resorts; and Jon Kilroe-Smith, general manager of Club Mykonos Resort.
